The Holga Diaries (The Lomographic Library. Gallery for Cultural Communication)

Occasionally, one is met with puzzled looks when reaching into one's pocket and pulling out a shabby black box made of the cheapest plastic, peering through a murky hole on the back, and then making something resembling a photograph with an audible click. Before I had a Holga in my own hands - one can hardly call it a camera - I was skeptical. However, I have since come to greatly enjoy subverting the bleakness of sterile digital photography, as well as ignoring all the rules of medium-format photography.

This volume contains my Holga diaries from the period of May 31, 2015 to January 6, 2016. These images were on display as an analog exhibition in our gallery a few years ago and are now being published as an accompanying catalog for a further exhibition on the island of Föhr, in response to numerous requests.
